The Hal Jordan Project

This, out of all the shit that I've uploaded today, is actually the one I'm most proud of.

The Hal Jordan Project. My triumphant re-emergence into the world of Photoshop.

It's been so long since I used photoshop. Months, actually, since Computer graphics ended. I really haven't had the excuse to. But now, NOW, I'm back. It was a slow start, and I was kinda lost at first, but I'm pretty comfy back in the captain's chair.

I was really rusty at this shit. I don't know how many times I actually used the mouse cuz I forgot all my shortcuts. It's a killer man.

I chose to name it the Hal Jordan Project after my personal favorite Green Lantern. Let's be honest. He was the first Parallax and the first to defeat Parallax. AND he was dead. WAS. The man is too badass for his own death. A close second would've been Kyle Rayner for his artistic use of the ring and the title of Ion, but Kyle could definitely use more experience when it comes down to it. Alan Scott would've been a nice choice, too, but I can't stand his normal costume. If he decides to always use his Kingdom Come armor, that'd be awesome.

Artist's Notes:
Geeking out aside, I really wanted to do this because of all the technical things I'd have to work: lighting, shadows, background effects, and making the fucking ring to begin with. It was a really great way to jump back into things, and I'm genuinely pleased with the results.
